The partnership with SpaceX Starlink will provide high-speed, low latency satellite broadband for Microsoft's Azure Modular Datacenter, the company said in a blog post. With the new move, Microsoft aims to “make Azure the platform and ecosystem of choice for the mission needs of the space community.” Microsoft has brought together a team of space industry veterans to work alongside its product engineers and scientists to build cloud capabilities that suit the needs of space exploration. “Our innovation areas include simulating space missions, discovering insights from satellite data, and fuelling innovation both on the ground and in orbit,” the company said. SpaceX, known for its reusable rockets and astronaut capsules, is ramping up satellite production for Starlink, a growing constellation of hundreds of internet-beaming satellites that Musk hopes will generate enough revenue to help fund SpaceX's interplanetary goals. Apple just finished its “Time Flies” event, its first fall event this year, and although we’re still waiting on new iPhones, the company took the wraps off new Apple Watches and iPads. And like this year’s WWDC, we got all of the news through a video streamed online; there was no in-person event to accompany the arrival of new products. Android 11 has arrived....!!!

Android 11 has arrived! The latest release is all about helping you get to what's important on your phone with easier ways to help you manage your conversations, connected devices, privacy, and much more. In honor of the 11th version of Android, here are 11 new things that are coming in Android 11: Better ways to communicate with the people in your life 1. I often find myself switching between multiple messaging apps to stay connected with people I care about. In Android 11, conversations across messaging apps will be moved to a dedicated space in the notifications section, making it easy to manage your conversations in one spot. You can also prioritize conversations from the key people in your life so you never miss an important message. 2. Bubbles makes multitasking on your device a breeze. You can now respond to important conversations without having to switch back and forth between what you’re doing and your messaging app. 3. Built-in screen recording is finally here: Now you can capture and share what’s happening on your phone. Record with sound from your mic, device or both—no extra app required. People and Controls New ways to control your connected devices & media 4. You can now access all your smart devices in one place, simply by long pressing the power button. Control your connected devices like your thermostat or smart lock with a tap, so there’s no need to open multiple apps. 5. Media controls have been redesigned and are more helpful than ever. You can now quickly switch the device your media is playing on, so you can take your music with you from your headphones to your speaker without missing a beat. 6. Android Auto now works wirelessly for all phones running Android 11 as long as you have a compatible vehicle. So you can bring the best of your phone on every drive while skipping the cable—get directions with a tap, talk to send a text, play your favorite media and get help from Google Assistant. More control over your privacy and data 7. One-time permissions will allow you to grant single use access to your most sensitive permissions: microphone, camera and location. The next time the app needs access to the sensors, it must ask you for your permission again. 8. If you haven’t used an app that you installed on your device in a while, you may not want it to keep accessing your data. Android will now “auto-reset” permissions for your unused apps and notify you accordingly. You can always decide to re-grant the app permissions the next time you use the app. 9. With additional Google Play system update modules, even more security and privacy fixes can be sent to your phone from Google Play, in the same way your apps update. So you’ll get these fixes as soon as they’re available, without having to wait for a full OS update. 10. For Android Enterprise users, Android 11 brings the privacy protections you get on a personally-owned device to your company-owned device. The work profile gives your IT department tools to manage a device without monitoring your personal profile data or activity on your phone. Even more on Pixel 11. If you're using a Pixel 2 or above you'll get additional features to organize and manage your phone, like app suggestions on the home screen based on your daily routines, and new overview actions that allow you to take a screenshot of an app and select text and images, and more. Android 11 will begin rolling out today on select Pixel, OnePlus, Xiaomi, OPPO and realme phones, with more partners launching and upgrading devices over the coming months. Four Nirbhaya Rapists to Be Hanged on January 22 at 7am, Delhi Court Issues Death Warrant

A Delhi court on Tuesday issued the death warrant against all four death row convicts in the 2012 Nirbhaya gang rape and murder case. The execution has been scheduled for 7 am on January 22 at the Tihar jail. Additional Sessions Judge Satish Kumar Arora, who issued the death warrants, said the convicts can use their legal remedies within 14 days. The four death row convicts are Mukesh, Vinay Sharma, Akshay Singh and Pawan Gupta. AP Singh, lawyer of convicts, said they will file a curative petition in the Supreme Court. The convicts were produced before the court through video conferencing. Nirbhaya's mother, Asha Devi, said that her daughter has now got justice. "The execution of the four convicts will empower the women of the country. This decision will strengthen the trust of people in the judicial system," she said. Nirbhaya's father, Badrinath Singh, also expressed relief. "It was a long journey, I am happy with the verdict," he said. Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chairperson Swati Maliwal welcomed the order. "It's a victory for every citizen of the country, I salute the mother who kept fighting for the past seven years," she said. "I would also like to thank the judges. Such rapists should be brought to justice in six months." All the six accused were arrested and charged with sexual assault and murder. One of the accused was a minor and appeared before a juvenile justice court, while another accused committed suicide in Tihar Jail. Four of the convicts were sentenced to death by a trial court in September 2013, and the verdict confirmed by the Delhi High Court in March 2014 and upheld by the Supreme Court in May 2017, which also dismissed their review petitions. During the hearing on Tuesday, the prosecution said there was no application pending right now before any court or President Ram Nath Kovind by any of the convicts and the review petition of all the convicts was earlier dismissed by the Supreme Court. While urging the court to issue the death warrants, the prosecution said, "In between issuance and execution of death warrants of the convicts want to file curative petitions they can do so."

PTI takes no editorial responsibility for the same.) - A unique melange of Sports & Social Service - 1500 youth from 200 cities across the globe congregated for SRMD Youth Festival MUMBAI, Jan. 3, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- It is rightly believed that the youth are the future of the nation, and the future is undoubtedly bright if the energy and spirit of the youth is channelized in the right direction. Through an unconventional melange of sports, selfless service and self-enquiry, the SRMD Youth Festival 2019 aimed towards that. The Youth Festival organized by Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur, was a 2-day residential festival, held on the 27th-28th December 2019 at the International Headquarters of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur in Valsad, Gujarat. The Youth Festival was a uniquely designed 2-day module, that used sports and management-based games to internalize long-term values, and then, put those values in action by contributing to the underprivileged communities. Thus, the Youth Festival was a magnificent celebration of diversity and togetherness, as it welcomed about 1500 young people from over 200 cities across the globe. The Youth Festival featured the World Cup Finals of the SFC Football Tournament- an initiative where over 650 youngsters (26 boys' teams and 24 girls' teams) came together through football and undertook massive social projects in the past two years. Apart from contributing to the society through fundraising, the youth have strongly cultivated the long-term value of sportsmanship. Youth from the USA, UAE, UK, Singapore, etc. participated in the World Cup Finals. The evenings were adorned with diverse cultural performances by youth from all over the world, along with unique stalls run by the women of the rural pockets of Dharampur. The Youth Festival truly promoted togetherness and compassion over competition. A unique series of action games such as Zorbing Football, Human Foosball and Knockout (a challenging obstacle series) were conducted to induce values such as co-ordination, team spirit, confidence and perseverance. Along with physical activities, the Youth Festival was an opportunity to enhance one's emotional well-being through themed meditation, yoga and creative therapies using paint, music, etc. What made the Youth Festival an interestingly rare opportunity was- the first-hand experience it offered the youth for working towards extremely marginalized communities, thus transforming themselves and others too. After having strengthened the values of sportsmanship, the youth undertook 9 handpicked social initiatives in the tribal belts of South Gujarat to strengthen the principle of selfless giving. Some mega social initiatives undertaken were: Medical Outreach Camp in Rural Areas Manufacturing products with the tribal women of Mahila Gruh Udyog (Women Skill Development Centre) Educational Visits and Beautification of the local school and college- Shrimad Rajchandra Gurukul and Vidyapeeth. Learning Organic Farming Caretaking of Cattle in the Jivmaitridham (Cattle-houses) and much more. ICC Test rankings: Virat Kohli finishes 2019 as No. 1 batsman

India captain Virat Kohli has finished as the No.1 batsman in International Cricket Council (ICC) rankings for Test batsmen for the 2nd successive year. With 928 points, Virat Kohli has ended 2019 as the numero uno in Test cricket. Australia's star batsman Steve Smith finishes behind Kohli at the 2nd spot with 911 points. Notably, Steve Smith had risen to the No. 1 spot after a stunning run in Ashes 2019 -- which was also his comeback series after spending a year away due to ball-tampering ban. Smith had scored 774 runs at a staggering average of 110.57 in 4 matches in England during which he dethroned Virat Kohli. However, Virat Kohli had replaced Steve Smith as the No. 1 Test batsman after his good run in the home series against South Africa and Bangladesh earlier this year. Kohli became the No. 1 batsman again earlier this month after Steve Smith had a series of ordinary outuings against Pakistan at home. Steve Smith had an opportunity to close in on the gap but the Australia batsman hasn't lived up to his reputation in the ongoing Test series against New Zealand. Smith has managed just 151 runs from 2 Tests at an average of 37.75. Nonetheless, Australia's Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith are on top of the run-scoring charts in Tests in 2019. While Labuschagne is the only batsman to have scored more than 1000 runs in the calendar year -- 1104 in 11 matches, Smith has managed 965 runs in just 8 matches. Virat Kohli, who is on the 13th spot in the list of top-scorers in 2019, has scored 612 runs from 8 matches. Meanwhile, 3 Indians, including Virat Kohli, have finished the year among the top 10 in ICC Test rankings. While Cheteshwar Pujara has dropped a place to 5th, vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane has finished at the 7th spot. Notably, it was an Indian batsman who was at the top of the ICC Test batting charts at the start of the decade -- Gautam Gambhir with 877 points. Virender Sehwag was also in the top 10 as of January 1, 2010 -- 4th with 805 points. South Africa's wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock is the biggest mover as he has jumped 8 spots to enter the top 10 after match-winning knocks in the Boxing Day Test against England in Centurion. ICC Test batsman rankings (As of December 30, 2019) (#01)Virat Kohli, (#02) Steve Smith (#03) Kane Williamson (#04) Marnus Labuschagne (#05) Cheteshwar Pujara (#06) Babar Azam (#07) David Warner (#08) Ajinkya Rahane (#09) Joe Root (#10) Quinton de Kock
